When to Visit

Malta is an excellent year-round destination experiencing a typically Mediterranean climate; summer temepratures often reach 30ºC, making for blissful beach breaks in coastal areas such as St Paul's and Mellieha Bay. In the autumn, cheaper flight prices and milder temperatures make it an excellent time to explore Malta's cities and historical sites. We'd particularly recommend a break in the capital city of Valletta, where there are numerous places of great cultural and historical interest, including the stunning baroque cathedral of St John's.
