Enjoy the best Cypriot food on your Cyprus holidays

Much like the culture and history of its people, Cypriot food is rich, exciting and varied, as well as highly nutritious, meaning your Cyprus holiday is likely to be a feast for your taste buds. The most famous Cypriot food is Moussaka.

Common and traditional Cypriot food consists of fresh seafood, vegetables, pulses, grains and meat. The most popular style of eating is known as mezes; something we encourage you to try on your Cyprus holiday. This is a great way to sample Cypriot foods; you’ll receive 20- 30 small saucers, all a different type of food. Cypriot food is all divine and this way you get a bit of everything; it is advised to start on an empty stomach though!

As well as the saucers of food you’ll get to sample locally produced breads and dips - all fresh just the way the Cypriots enjoy it. Cypriot food is all very fresh and the bread is often produced daily in twenty- four hour bakeries.

The island is ripe with abundance of locally grown herbs, figs, dates, almonds, olives, beans and on walking around sightseeing you will notice fresh tomatoes, peppers, aubergines and avocados growing in many areas, due to the dry and sunny conditions all over the country.

Cypriot food is grounded on its freshness, even in fast foods like kebabs. Restaurants can be found in all the cities and towns; Nicosia, Paphos and Limassol are all particularly good for restaurants in Cyprus.
