The weather in Gibraltar is generally good with mild winters and warm summers. The climate is Mediterranean and Subtropical. There is generally a wind which prevails from the East off the African Sahara known as the Levante and this produces humid weather and warm seas. The other is the Poniente from the West and this brings fresher air and cooler sea. The average annual temperature reads at around 18 degrees centigrade during the day and at night 15 degrees centigrade.
