Malta Holiday Sightseeing

Malta attractions are varied including museums, gardens, churches and historical buildings. The islands of Malta are blessed by beautiful sunshine and have a history stretching back at least six thousand years.

Sightseeing on your Malta holiday is therefore never dull; all across the island you will see idyllic scenery and architecture, which provide spectacular backdrops with their vivid and striking colours. The buildings and architecture, are for the most part, honey-coloured stone and this really stands out against the deep Mediterranean blues.

The capital of Malta is Valletta and sightseeing in Malta should centre here, as not only is it a World Heritage Site, it’s also a great example of a Maltese fortified town. There are daily, organised sightseeing tours in the city so you can see all of its ancient glory, with an experienced guide.

Mdina in Malta and Cittadella in the heart of Gozo, are all also ancient fortified towns and definitely highlights on any Malta sightseeing trip.  One of Malta’s best attractions is Gozo’s Santa Maria cathedral, one of the most enchanting sites on the island.  Another Maltese sightseeing experience gives you some history of Malta; the St Agatha’s catacombs are an underground Basilica used during the Saints refuge on the island and although eerie are beautiful.

For a more family orientated Malta attraction you may want to visit the Malta Falconry Centre, it is the only birds of prey facility on the island and displays the ancient art of traditional falconry; it is a truly exciting experience.

Malta attractions and Malta sightseeing are varied as its history can be seen throughout the island in all of its atmospheric, picturesque towns, cities and ancient villages. It is an island where you forget time because there is so much to take in and the weather is so beautiful.

We have accommodation across the island to make your trip luxurious and comfortable.
