Paphos shopping - an exciting mix of traditional and modern

Within the commercial centre, Paphos shopping boasts a wide range of goods, offering everything from clothing boutiques to craft and gift shops.

Located in lower Paphos the best traditional shopping is in the Cyprus Handicraft Centre, a government enterprise keeping traditional Paphos shopping alive. Here you can shop for lace, pottery, carvings, baskets, jewellery and other beautiful items. It is priced fairly and a sure to be a favourite when shopping in Paphos. It is also close to some great markers of the island's history.

It would be worth a trip to the northern district of Ktima - specifically the Northern end of Makarios III Avenue - which boasts the best of Paphos shopping. Here you will find clusters of shops selling quirky holiday gifts and handmade jewellery.

To experience Paphos shopping in its cultural prime, visit the open air market in this district. Timi village hosts a great one every Sunday, whether you’re shopping for clothes, jewellery, fresh produce or handcrafted knick knacks, browsing the stalls is sure to be a delight. One of the most shopped for gifts is the local alcoholic drink, Ouzo.

Not only are the shops great, so too are the restaurants for when you need to refuel and take a rest.
